I found out many papers mentioning other species and Odontopteryx being Dasornis toliapica. should we merge the page Odontopteryx or leave it as a independent page? — Preceding unsigned comment added by PrehistoricBirdLover (talk • contribs) 03:30, 6 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
First of all we should establish what the current scientific consensus is. FunkMonk (talk) 21:03, 8 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I think there is consensus. The name Odontopteryx toliapicus hardly appears in sources after 2016. (Of note: the synonymy also includes Macrodontopteryx, which also has a separate article.) Lythronaxargestes (talk | contribs) 02:24, 9 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Weak oppose, on the grounds that there needs to be stronger evidence of equivalence than the name not being used for a few years; that just implies that no-one is currently publishing on the relevant specimens. Klbrain (talk) 04:38, 18 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
